AI Engineer

Laerdal Medical · Stavanger, NO

Job description

Make an impact with Laerdal!

Laerdal Medical is an international market leader in training and therapy products for emergency medicine and critical care. Our products and services are used by hospitals, ambulance services, first aid organizations, educational institutions and others around the world. We are a dynamic and energetic organization consisting of people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds. By 2030, we have a goal of helping save 1.000.000 more lives. Every year.

About the role

We’re looking for an outgoing, action-oriented AI Engineer to join our AI Services team in Stavanger. You’ll work at the heart of how Laerdal uses AI, helping colleagues across the company get real value out of AI tools, from day one.

This is not a deep-research role. You won’t be tuning models or writing ML pipelines. You’ll be doing the work that actually moves things forward: configuring agents, wiring up integrations, and (just as importantly) walking over to a colleague’s desk and helping them figure out how AI can change the way they work. A big part of this job is people, not just tools.

We’re happy to hire someone experienced or straight out of university. What matters most is that you’re curious, communicative, and not afraid to just try things.

What you’ll work on

  • AI agents: configure, test, debug, and maintain AI agents built in Copilot Studio, Azure foundry and similar platforms
  • Click-ops integrations: set up and connect AI services through Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, and similar tools; hands-on but no heavy lifting required
  • Shipping vibe-coded projects: when a colleague builds something with Lovable or similar tools, you help get it live: hook it up, test it, deploy it, update it.
  • Internal enablement: be the person colleagues come to when they want to use AI but don’t know where to start; help them find the right tool, get set up, and actually change how they work day to day

Prototyping: take a business need from a colleague and turn it into something working
*

What we’re looking for

  • A bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field
  • An outgoing personality: you genuinely enjoy talking to people, and you get energy from helping a colleague have that “oh, this actually works for me” moment
  • A “get it done” mindset: when something is unclear, you figure it out rather than wait to be told
  • Comfort working in cloud UIs: Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure, or similar. This is where most of the work happens
  • Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals
  • Basic Python skills: enough to write a script, call an API, or understand what a prompt is doing
  • Clear and professional English, both written and spoken

What you’ll get

  • A front-row seat to how a global medical technology company adopts AI, across products, teams, and geographies
  • Real, meaningful work from day one, not shadow-work or decks
  • A collaborative team that shares what they know and helps each other grow
  • Exposure to a modern AI stack: Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Databricks, Azure, Lovable, and agent harnesses

Sounds like you?

We don’t hire on a fixed schedule, we hire when the right person shows up. If you’re excited about making AI actually useful for real people, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The role is based in Stavanger and is an on-site position.

We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a supportive team environment.

Send us your CV and a few lines about why this role fits where you’re headed. No later than 22 June 2026.
