Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more of the following, such as speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), or specialization in another ML field.
  • 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in GenAI and Agentic AI solution development.
  • Experience in cloud platform development.
  • Track record of delivering a high volume of scalable, production-grade features.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Agent Assist is a core pillar of Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (GECX). It uses Google’s leading Generative AI technologies to support call center agents at every stage of their workflow, reducing average handling time, delivering better customer service, and driving business growth. We are building the next generation of this product companion AI Agent. It leverages the latest Agentic AI technologies to empower human agents via real-time guidance, task automation, and rich, collaborative interactions.

In this role, you will build the foundational infrastructure and capabilities that allow companion agent to reason, use tools, and automate complex tasks at scale. you will transform customer support by developing industry-leading AI solutions. You will build foundational infrastructure and innovative features powered by companion AI Agents. The Cloud Applied AI (AAI) powers business growth with Gemini Enterprise. Our portfolio includes Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search - Commerce, Customer Experience Insights), along with other vertical and domain packaged solutions. We enable high adoption and speed to value by building solutions that are quickly deployed, delivering new 0-to-1 capabilities with startup agility. Team members operate at the forefront of AI, collaborating directly with model builders with unprecedented speed. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $301000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

  • Lead the development and launch of a companion agent, a context-aware AI Agent to empower call center agents.
  • Be responsible for sustaining and accelerating the adoption of Agent Assist, as the fastest growing GECX product.
  • Build scalable foundational infrastructure and advanced GenAI features.
