Senior Data Scientist (f/m/x) (Compliance)

Would you like to help build the next generation of anti–money laundering (AML) and financial sanctions machine learning models (ML) at a top-tier CEE bank—and bring them reliably into production at scale?

We are expanding our agile teams in the Group Compliance tribe to further develop and operate our ML models across the whole CEE region.

Our solutions are built on an event-based architecture that connects payments, trading, CRM, and core-banking systems across RBI and the wider Raiffeisen Banking Group.

We are looking for an ML/Data Scientist Engineer who wants to own the full lifecycle—from exploration and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement—while helping us establish a robust ML-Ops framework for the entire group.

If you enjoy solving complex problems with high business impact and building ML products that meet regulatory standards, we’d love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources

Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms

Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations

Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions

Monitor and improve model performance over time

Stay updated with the latest data science tools and techniques

Core Competencies:

Business Knowledge

Understanding of banking/transaction data (or strong motivation to learn)

Willingness to create model documentation for regulatory, audit, and validation purposes
