Forward Deployed EngineerSeries B$170,000 - $190,000San FranciscoFull Time, PermA fast-growing health technology company is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical deployment and implementation of its AI platform across enterprise healthcare customers. The platform is used by clinicians at major health systems globally, automating clinical documentation and reducing the administrative burden that takes time away from patient care. This is a customer-embedded technical role. You will be the person who makes the product real for the organisations adopting it and the bridge between what customers need and what the engineering team builds next. The Role* You will own enterprise deployments end-to-end — from initial setup through to full customer adoption. That means building integrations, designing custom clinical workflows, diagnosing production issues, and working directly with clinicians, hospital IT teams, and operational leaders until the platform is embedded and the customer is self-sufficient.

• This is not a support role. It requires strong coding ability, deep integration knowledge, and the judgment to solve ambiguous technical problems independently in complex, regulated environments.

Requirements* 4+ years in a forward deployed, implementation, or customer-facing engineering role

• Strong coding ability across Python, JavaScript, and SQL
• Solid integration experience — REST APIs, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, and ideally FHIR/HL7 healthcare data standards
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers — clinicians, IT leads, and operational stakeholders
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong independent problem-solver — able to navigate ambiguity without a playbook
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is a meaningful advantage Core Responsibilities* Own enterprise deployments from initial setup through to full customer adoption
• Build and maintain integrations with EMR/EHR systems, SSO providers, and data pipelines
• Design and implement custom clinical workflows tailored to each customer's operational environment
• Diagnose and resolve technical and integration issues in production
• Work directly with clinicians, hospital IT teams, and operational leaders throughout deployment
• Write code to solve deployment challenges and build tooling that scales implementation processes
• Document solutions, capture field learnings, and feed actionable product insights back to engineering and product teams
• Train customers to become confident and self-sufficient with the platform
