About the Role

  • Job Title: Data Scientist
  • Location: Bear Creek, 27207
  • Summary: This is a Marketing Data Science role. Marketing analytics experience required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with senior management, technical and client teams to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, and best practices for advanced data manipulation.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
  • 8-10 years applicable experience required.
  • Experience with database technologies.
  • Knowledge of the ETL process.
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated history of success.
  • Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data-driven decisions.

  • Direct marketing experience in digital products, gaming preferred.

Explain a typical day in the role

  • Partner with Marketing, business, and finance teams on understanding and analyzing digital marketing campaigns understanding KPIs, creating measurement plans, and driving post mortem analyses for campaigns. Build segmentation and KPI foundations for performance marketing. Collaborate with analytics engineers on building automations and reporting.

What is the ideal background of a candidate for this role?

  • We are ideally looking for a professional with direct marketing experience in digital products. Gaming preferred.

  • Databricks is strongly preferred for candidates to have but not required Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $160,000 - $180,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
