Job Summary

The Sr. Research Project Manager will support and coordinate interdisciplinary applied research initiatives, industry-sponsored research activities, and strategic innovation partnerships within the Applied Research Center (ARC). The position focuses on the development, coordination, implementation, and advancement of applied research programs involving industry collaborators, external sponsors, emerging technologies, and translational research initiatives.

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of interdisciplinary applied research initiatives and industry-sponsored research programs involving external partners, sponsors, and collaborating organizations.
  • Supports activities associated with university's industry partnerships, applied innovation ecosystems, technology transition initiatives, commercialization-oriented research activities, and strategic sponsored research growth.
  • Contributes to the design, evaluation, and implementation of operational, analytical, and data-informed models supporting applied research, innovation partnerships, and externally sponsored initiatives.
  • Coordinates collaborative activities among researchers, sponsors, industry partners, affiliated organizations, technology developers, and external stakeholders.
  • Assists with research analysis, interpretation of findings, preparation of technical reports, strategic presentations, sponsored research materials, partnership documentation, and related program deliverables
  • Supports implementation and monitoring of research procedures, data collection activities, analytical workflows, and institutional research protocols associated with applied research initiatives.
  • Collaborates on long-range planning activities associated with sponsored research growth, industry engagement strategies, innovation partnerships, applied research expansion, and institutional research development initiatives.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies, innovation systems, AI-enabled operational tools, and advanced research applications relevant to strategic industry collaboration and applied technology development
  • Assists with interpretation and implementation of institutional policies and procedures related to assigned research, sponsored programs, partnership activities, and externally funded initiatives.
  • May support coordination of external engagement and strategic partnership activities associated with industry-sponsored projects, applied research collaborations, technology transition efforts, and innovation-focused research initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in intelligence, computer science, engineering, law enforcement, or forensic science related fields and 4 years of experience; OR eight (8) years of relevant training and/or military experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
