AI Software Engineer

TXT InfraWise is an innovative startup and spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, as well as part of the TXT Group, specialized in the development of advanced solutions for monitoring and managing critical infrastructures such as bridges, viaducts, and tunnels. Through proprietary IoT/OT platforms, advanced algorithms, and AI-native technologies, the company develops predictive systems for real-time analysis of the structural health of civil infrastructures, transforming academic research into concrete solutions for safety and territorial resilience.

TXT InfraWise is looking for professionals to join the company as AI Software Engineers.

The selected candidates will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining software applications featuring Artificial Intelligence functionalities, ensuring product quality, reliability, and scalability.

Main responsibilities:
Develop back-end systems, APIs, and software services for AI/ML model integration

Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists to industrialize solutions

Design robust, scalable, and maintainable software architectures

Manage deployment, logging, monitoring, and application maintenance

Implement automated testing, code reviews, and development best practices

Integrate generative models, recommendation engines, and predictive systems

Support product evolution with a focus on performance and user experience

Required technical skills:
Strong experience in software development, particularly with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript

Knowledge of Go is considered a plus

Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases

Experience with containers, orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and model integration

Ability to work in agile and multidisciplinary environments

Good command of the English language

Experience with highly scalable digital products will be considered a plus

Education: Degree in Computer Science or related fields

The contract offered for this position is a permanent employment contract.

Compensation will be determined based on the level of appointment:

Advanced: annual gross salary ranging from €27.000 to €30.000.

Professional: annual gross salary ranging from €39.000 to €44.000.

The employment level and classification will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate’s profile, skills, and professional experience, in accordance with the Italian CCNL for the Metalworking Industry.
