Interns work directly with software developers, engineers, and data specialists, gaining hands‑on experience with real‑world automation, data workflows, and applied AI/ML.

Position Overview

We are seeking a paid summer intern pursuing a technical degree with strong interest in computer science, data engineering, automation, or applied AI/ML. The intern will support internal software‑related workflows, help organize and structure engineering data, and contribute to an internal machine‑learning project involving Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).

This role is ideal for students studying Computer Science, Data Science, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields who want exposure to AI, data processing, and technical workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Excel‑based data organization — maintain structured spreadsheets used for engineering and production tracking
Technical documentation support — assist in preparing engineering procedures and structured data files
AI/ML project assistance — help prepare datasets, organize documents, and support RAG pipeline development
Workflow analysis — analyze engineering and production workflows to identify automation opportunities
Cross‑team collaboration — work with software, engineering, and production teams on day‑to‑day technical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Science or Data Science coursework (or Petroleum/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with strong computing interest)
Strong proficiency with Excel, structured data, and formula‑based organization
Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or data processing
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
Comfortable working in a technical engineering environment

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
