Full Stack Developer – Next.js / Node.js / AI Systems

Overview

AppVault is a fast-moving recruitment technology platform helping enterprise clients hire smarter. We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who's energized by meaningful work, moves quickly, and takes pride in clean, scalable code.

You'll be a core contributor on a small, high-trust engineering team — owning features end-to-end, shipping regularly, and directly influencing how our product evolves. We use modern tooling, including AI, to build better software faster, and we're looking for someone who's comfortable picking up new tools and patterns as the landscape changes.

What You'll Build

• Web applications using Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• RESTful APIs and real-time features with WebSockets
• Performant, responsive UIs that hold up at scale
• AI-powered features embedded directly into our recruitment platform
• Clean, well-reviewed code with testing and debugging baked in

We're investing in smarter, more connected recruitment tooling — including knowledge graph systems that link candidate, job and workforce data, and LLM-powered features that make recruiter workflows faster and more accurate. AI is one of several tools we use to build a better product; the priority is always solid engineering and real vlaue for the people using what we ship.

What You Bring

• 5+ years with JavaScript and modern web frontends
• 3+ years with Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Comfort with Git, code reviews, and collaborative workflows
• Strong problem-solving instincts and clear communication
• A view of AI as a tool that supports good engineering, not a substitute for it

Bonus Points

• Experience deploying on Cloudflare (Workers, Wrangler, OpenNext)
• ATS integration experience (SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, or similar)
• Experience building with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG, or AI agent patterns
• Agile/Scrum background
