Join a team of DevOps Engineers working at the intersection of platform engineering and AI-first software development. You will collaborate closely with software developers at one of Scandinavia’s largest software development companies, helping shape how modern software is built, deployed, and enhanced with AI.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers, coaching and supporting them in Git workflows (GitHub, pull requests, branching strategies)
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Deploy and operate target platforms (Kubernetes) and public cloud environments
- Develop automation scripts and workflows to improve developer productivity
- Utilize and maintain tools from the DevOps toolchain (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Prometheus)
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and pipeline issues
- Contribute to and influence software delivery processes and best practices
AI Engineering and Developer Experience
- Support teams in adopting AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot)
- Design and maintain internal AI-powered tools (developer assistants, automation agents, knowledge systems)
- Build and operate AI agents and workflows using LLM APIs (Claude and OpenAI-compatible APIs)
- Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and similar approaches to integrate AI into developer workflows
- Ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective use of LLMs (access control, secrets, monitoring)
- Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and internal platforms
- Collaborate on AI-first development practices and continuously improve developer experience
As part of the team, you will work with:
Containerization and Orchestration:
- Design, build, and optimize Docker containers for efficient application deployment
- Manage Kubernetes clusters with focus on high availability, scalability, and performance
Container Orchestration and Networking:
- Implement and manage Kubernetes deployment strategies
- Optimize pod scheduling, scaling, and load balancing
CI/CD for Docker and Kubernetes:
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD into the software development lifecycle
AI Engineering:
- Design internal AI developer platforms and tools (CLI assistants, chat-based workflows, IDE integrations)
- Work with LLM APIs and build reliable abstractions around them
- Implement AI agents for automation (e.g., PR reviews, incident analysis, documentation generation)
- Manage context handling, embeddings, and retrieval-based systems (RAG-like patterns)
- Experiment with and productionize AI use cases across the development lifecycle
Must-have experience and skills
- Relevant higher education (at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar)
- Minimum 4 years of experience with Jira/Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, GitHub, and Azure
- Practical experience with CI/CD systems and automation
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar)
- Understanding of API-based integrations (REST, authentication, streaming concepts)
- Strong communication skills, proactiveness, and ownership mindset
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and tools
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with Artifactory and SonarQube
- Scripting skills (Bash, Groovy, PowerShell)
- Experience building AI agents or multi-step workflows
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar patterns
- Understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation, and guardrails
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, or vector databases
- Experience running LLM workloads in production (monitoring, cost optimization, reliability)
- Exposure to platform engineering or internal developer platforms (IDP)
