At Walmart, our Product teams build scalable digital experiences that power

discovery and drive category growth across Marketplace and eCommerce. We are

hiring a Staff Product Manager - Search to lead critical discovery experiences

that shape how millions of customers find, evaluate, and shop across high-impact

verticals. This role owns strategy and execution for key customer-facing

capabilities that improve relevance, trust, and inspiration across the shopping

journey. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and design—

translating growth objectives into scalable product solutions that accelerate

digital penetration and unlock category-specific opportunities. The ideal

candidate brings strong product judgment, thrives as an individual contributor,

and has experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in highly

matrixed environments. You are comfortable setting strategic direction,

influencing senior stakeholders, and partnering closely with Engineering and

Data Science to deliver impactful solutions at scale. About the Team:

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Driving category-specific growth by building differentiated, customer-first

experiences that improve discoverability, relevance, and trust.

  • Elevating end-to-end discovery across search, browse, and personalization

to deliver more intuitive and confidence-inspiring shopping journeys.

  • Embedding trust and quality signals throughout the customer experience

to strengthen credibility and conversion.

  • Leveraging AI and data-driven insights to power inspiration-led discovery

and more meaningful experience at scale.

  • Defining product vision and translating business objectives into scalable,

enterprise-ready solutions.

  • Partnering cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Design, Data

Science, and Business to deliver measurable impact.

  • Building a collaborative, high-ownership environment focused on solving

complex problems and delivering results.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You can define and champion a compelling product vision, strategy, and

roadmap for Search, aligning relevance, ranking, and personalization

investments with business goals.

  • You have led large, ambiguous discovery initiatives—using customer research,

competitive insights, and query-level analytics to identify opportunities and

prioritize high-impact improvements.

  • You can drive alignment across a highly matrixed organization, influencing

stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business.

  • You have partnered deeply with ML and engineering teams to ship scalable

search or recommendation systems that improve relevance and performance.

  • You are fluent in experimentation—designing A/B tests, interpreting results,

and translating insights into iterative product improvements.

  • You can synthesize complex analysis into clear, compelling recommendations

and influence senior leadership with data-backed strategy.

What you'll bring:

5+ years of product management experience, ideally in Search, Relevance,

Personalization, or large-scale consumer platforms.

  • Strong technical acumen with familiarity in search systems, ranking

models, experimentation frameworks, and machine learning concepts.

  • Proven ability to use data and experimentation to drive product decisions.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders in highly matrixed

organizations.

  • MBA, consulting background, or technical degree preferred for strategic

and analytical depth

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
