Job description

As IT & AI Solutions Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our digital and AI strategy. You will work at the intersection of technology, business processes, and consulting services, helping us to use AI in a way that is effective, responsible, and aligned with the needs of a regulated life sciences environment. You will identify opportunities for automation and AI-supported workflows, evaluate suitable tools and platforms, support implementation, and help colleagues adopt new ways of working. In addition, you will explore how AI-enabled services can add value to our clients. This is a highly visible and strategic role with room to build, improve, and make a direct impact.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the IT infrastructure of the company, and act as the main point of contact for our external IT provider.
  • Analyze consulting workflows (RA, CMC, Non‑Clinical, Clinical, QA) and help identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency and quality.
  • Help prototype and implement AI solutions such as copilots, LLM‑based workflows, and internal knowledge tools, together with subject matter experts.
  • Support internal teams and client projects by applying AI and data analytics in a practical, well‑structured way.
  • Contribute to the development of AI‑enabled services and accelerated offerings for clients.
  • Create and maintain practical materials such as prompt templates, simple playbooks, documentation, and quality checks.
  • Assist in setting up basic AI governance, including data security, confidentiality, and awareness of validation requirements in regulated environments.
  • Help prepare AI‑supported outputs (e.g. slide decks, short analyses, training materials) and translate technical ideas into clear, usable solutions.
  • Work closely with consultants and leadership to learn, test ideas, and support pilots and gradual roll‑out of new tools and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field
  • First experience (internship, thesis, starter role) in IT, automation, digital transformation, data or AI
  • Familiarity with digital tools, workflow automation, and basic system integration
  • Good understanding of modern AI technologies, including generative AI, workflow automation, and knowledge tools
  • Ability to translate business or process challenges into practical technical solutions
  • Interest in data privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible use of technology, especially in regulated environments
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical colleagues
  • Proactive, hands‑on mindset with the ability to learn and work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic approach
  • Professional fluency in English; Dutch is a plus
