ITLM - AI Governance Process Specialist
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated ITLM- AI Governance Process Specialist who enjoys working at the intersection of IT, risk, and governance and who can connect diverse stakeholders around a common framework. In this role, you strengthen Bayer’s IT Lifecycle Management (ITLM) model with a strong focus on AI risk assessment and its implementation in BEAT/ServiceNow.
You act as a central liaison between S&T Risks & Standards, IT Mission Control, ITLM Governance, R&C Domains, the BEAT Platform Team and IT Product Managers, ensuring that ITLM processes are consistent, high-quality, and ready for operations. You help integrate Risk & Compliance requirements (including R&C Check logic and MMR assignments), shape IT Product Types, and support their integration into management repositories.
You also play an active role in the UNITE and AI Governance programs by helping to build and maintain the AI risk assessment process and AI inventory, including defining and integrating AI Solution Product Types into ITLM Phase 1 and the UNITE intake and R&C check logic.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operational ITLM Process Support: Address, triage, and resolve operational inquiries related to ITLM processes, requirements and implementations (e.g. in BEAT/ServiceNow)
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as an orchestrating link between key stakeholder groups, i.e. S&T Risks & Standards, IT Mission Control, ITLM Governance; AI Governance, R&C Domains, the BEAT Platform Team and IT Product Managers; ensure and oversee consistent interpretation, communication, and implementation of ITLM requirements
- R&C Domain Alignment & MMR Integration: Coordinate the integration, clarification and continuous refinement of R&C Domain logic, questions, and Minimum Mandatory Requirements (MMRs) into ITLM processes and tools
- Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify improvement potentials; design, document, and implement process optimizations across ITLM and related UNITE workstreams
- UNITE Program Participation: Serve as an operational team member within UNITE, contributing to implementation design, testing, preparation of rollouts and stabilization activities
- IT Product Type Implementation Support: Coordinate the introduction and rollout of additional IT Product Types into BEAT/ServiceNow and other ITLM-relevant repositories
- AI Governance: Support the definition of the AI risk assessment process and build up an AI inventory
- AI Solutions / Automation: Support the definition and integration of an AI Solutions Product Type into the ITLM process. Ensure alignment of AI lifecycle requirements with R&C Domains, ITLM governance structures and repository limitations
- Stakeholder Advisory & Knowledge Enablement: Provide guidance and advisory to stakeholders on ITLM processes, governance expectations, process design decisions, and role-specific responsibilities. Build the link to the operational BEAT Platform Operations and Support Team
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Ensure high-quality documentation of processes, decisions, requirements, and implementation workflows.
- Change & Community Management: Support knowledge-sharing, training, and community engagement in strong alignment with the BEAT community, to foster consistent ITLM adoption across the organization.
Who you are:
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business-administration or a related discipline
- Skills/experiences: 5+ years of experience in IT governance, IT process management, IT lifecycle management, compliance-oriented IT functions or comparable expertise
- Strong understanding of IT lifecycle processes, IT product management, and governance frameworks. Experience driving cross-functional alignment in complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow/BEAT or comparable enterprise workflow systems are helpful
- Experience in risk and compliance topics, preferably including R&C domain logic, assessments, or regulatory frameworks
- Experience in navigating through a complex regulatory environment and the ability to translate legal requirements into actionable guidance
- Experience in AI Governance and EU AI Act implementation desirable
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder‑management capabilities
- Ability to work across diverse teams and navigate ambiguity in evolving frameworks
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify optimization opportunities and drive change
- Fluent in English language. German language beneficial
At Bayer, we are committed to transparency, equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and objective reward practices in line with EU and local regulations. The minimum annual gross compensation for this role is 12,400 PLN with final pay determined based on objective factors such as experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment. This position is eligible for variable pay components, such as performance-based bonuses, awarded in accordance with the applicable employee group, role scope, and compensation structure.
