As we continue to expand our Data & AI Practice, we're looking for an experienced Senior Azure AI Solutions Engineer to help customers transform the way they work through Microsoft AI technologies.

Position Summary

The Senior Azure AI Solutions Engineer designs, builds and deploys enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.

This is a senior consulting role combining AI solution architecture, hands-on engineering and customer advisory services.

Unlike traditional software development roles, you'll work directly with customers to understand business problems, design secure AI solutions, build production-ready implementations and support successful adoption.

Alongside our Lead AI Architect, you'll collaborate closely with our Infrastructure, Networking, Security and Data Platform teams to ensure every AI solution is secure, scalable and operationally ready.

Enterprise AI Solution Delivery

Design, build and deploy enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft technologies including:

• Compliance requirements

Apply security best practices to every AI solution from design through production deployment.

Hands-On Delivery

This is a hands-on consulting role.

You'll be expected to:

• Build production AI solutions.
• Develop AI workflows and integrations.
• Configure Azure AI services.
• Write application code where required.
• Build reusable components.
• Integrate AI with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and custom applications.
• Troubleshoot AI deployments.
• Participate in customer workshops.
• Create technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Innovation & Practice Development

Approximately 10–15% of your time will focus on growing AirGate's AI practice by:

• Developing reusable AI accelerators.
• Building deployment templates.
• Creating demonstration environments.
• Evaluating new Microsoft AI capabilities.
• Improving delivery methodologies.
• Contributing to AI standards and governance.
• Delivering internal technical training.
• Supporting pre-sales engagements.
• Publishing technical best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or cloud application development experience.
• 2+ years building Azure AI or Generative AI solutions.
• Strong Azure experience.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service.
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working directly with customers in consulting or solution delivery roles.
