Radar and Computer Vision Engineer (Intern/Junior)

Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our remote team as a Radar and Computer Vision Engineer. In this role, you will focus on developing and optimizing algorithms for radar-based object detection and computer vision, with opportunities to contribute to sensor fusion solutions. Your work will play a key role in enhancing the accuracy and robustness of our systems in challenging environments.
Responsibilities:

Radar-Based Object Detection:
- Configure and process radar data for object detection.
- Develop techniques to reduce noise, ground clutter, and improve signal clarity.
- Implement algorithms to detect and track small objects with high accuracy.

Computer Vision:
- Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for object detection and tracking.
- Work with RGB camera data to enhance detection capabilities.
- Integrate vision-based solutions with other sensor modalities.

Sensor Fusion (Preferred):
- Design and implement algorithms to fuse radar and computer vision data.
- Enhance detection accuracy and robustness by combining multi-sensor inputs.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate fusion algorithms into the overall system.
Skills:
- Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in radar data processing and/or computer vision.
- Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques and algorithms is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, C++, or MATLAB).
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) for developing and integrating robotic systems.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a bonus.
- Familiarity with embedded systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
