Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our finance team and support the company’s day-to-day accounting operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Assist with financial reporting, including management reports and ad hoc analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial operations
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and basic GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting audits or regulatory reporting
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification
• Familiarity with automation tools or process improvement initiatives
