AI Product Manager

SidhSol · Remote · Houston

Job description

Job Overview

The Product Manager role is pivotal in orchestrating product development, overseeing delivery teams (referred to as pods), and establishing and refining a repeatable and agile delivery methodology. This role involves leading and directing the daily operations of these teams, ensuring their performance aligns with established benchmarks, and cultivating an agile culture conducive to efficient product delivery.

This role’s primary purpose is to spearhead product development efforts, leveraging organized delivery teams (pods) and maintaining a dynamic, repeatable agile delivery methodology. It entails not only leading the day-to-day activities of these teams but also monitoring and reporting their performance to ensure alignment with objectives. Moreover, fostering an agile delivery culture is paramount to this role’s responsibilities because it promotes an environment where innovation, collaboration, and adaptability drive successful product delivery within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • · Partner with functional department leaders to identify high-value innovation opportunities across Firm operations.
  • Lead intake, assessment and design thinking sessions that reframe problems and surface the right solution - not just the requested one.
  • · Build and maintain a prioritized opportunity pipeline; communicate tradeoffs and sequencing leadership.
  • · Run rapid prototyping and proofs of concept to validate value before committing to full delivery.
  • · Define and maintain product vision and roadmap for assigned initiatives, anchored to business process, user workflows and Firm strategy.
  • · Match the right capability to each problem across a broad toolkit — AI and GenAI, workflow automation, integrations, data products, low-code, custom build, packaged software configuration.
  • · Make build, buy or partner decisions across a fast-moving vendor landscape, lead vendor evaluations against clearly defined success criteria.
  • · Own the product lifecycle from concept through launch, adoption and ongoing iteration.
  • · Lead a cross-functional pod of engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, designers and QA through the full SDLC using Agile methodologies.
  • · Translate business requirements into clear product specifications across solution types -application features, AI behaviors, automation flows, data products and integrations.
  • · For AI-based solutions, define evaluation criteria covering accuracy, reliability, bias, hallucination rates and user-perceived quality.
  • · Generate test plans and partner with QA and subject matter experts to validate solutions across representative scenarios prior to release.
  • · Own release planning and validation across multiple environments; own go/no-go decisions.
  • · Partner with Information Governance, Security, Risk and the Firm's Responsible AI and to ensure each product meets data handling, confidentiality, privacy and responsible technology standards.
  • · Document design choices, data flows, evaluation results and known limitations as part of every release.
  • · Escalate risk and policy questions promptly; do not ship capability that has not cleared governance review.
  • Partner with functional departments to redesign business processes alongside technology delivery - recognizing that automating a broken process delivers little value.
  • · Plan and execute adoption strategies for staff audiences - communications, training, enablement, champion networks.
  • · Define and report on product KPIs covering adoption, time saved, process efficiency, quality, satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • · Use adoption and outcome data to drive iteration and inform roadmap decisions.

Required:

  • · 10 or more years of IT product management experience across a mix of solution types- application development, automation, data products, integrations and AI or machine learning.
  • · Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional Agile pods through the full SDLC.
  • · Working knowledge of GenAI patterns including RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks and the practical limits of current LLM capability.
  • · Experience defining product KPIs and reporting on adoption and business outcomes.
  • · Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
