Sr. Director, Data Science

This role is based in Canada. DeepVu is looking for highly innovative energetic leader for a Sr Director role to lead a strike team of data scientists and AI/ML engineers. This is a player/coach role. You'll need to have 7+ years of industry experience and hopefully at least 2 years of management/leadership experience in enterprise scale deep learning, forecasting and decisioning model.

You enjoy building diverse teams with disparate backgrounds and strengths and you build everyone up and ensure everyone is respected and empowered.

Strong algorithmic background is required and will be thoroughly evaluated. Strong at-scale experience building decisioning models using Deep Reinforcement Learning or other approaches is a must. Experience building large scale models with RNNs, CNNs and Gradient Boosting is required. Experience building and deploying high performance deep-learning models using either Tensorflow or PyTorch on significant complexity industrial/commercial data-sets is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with significant time-series modeling experience. Computer vision and NLP experience is a plus.

A PhD or MS from a top 10 AI university is required, along with a minimum of 5 years industry experience at a leading AI technology companies building reference-able work. This role can be based in Canada or in the bayarea.
