Overview
Are you a strategic, data-driven leader who enjoys solving complex, system-level problems? Do you want to shape how platforms and networks scale through advanced analytics and AI-native experiences? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Data Scientist within our Intuit Quickbooks family of products and services.
In this role, you will own network capacity planning for an end-to-end capability or a major portion of experiences within a composite application supporting millions of small business customers. You will act as a technical leader and domain expert, applying data science, systems thinking, and AI-driven insights to influence product, technology, and business decisions at scale across Intuit Quickbooks family of products and services.
You will translate business strategy into analytical problems, develop predictive models and KPI frameworks, and drive experimentation and learning at the Business Units and Intuit Group levels. You will also help define analytics and AI standards that scale across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve network capacity planning strategy for complex, large-scale systems within the Intuit Quickbooks family of products and services.
- Translate business strategy into hypotheses, models, and actionable insights that inform leadership decisions. Design and analyze experiments (A/B/n, bandits, causal methods) to inform decision-making
- Design and maintain forecasting, capacity, and analytics models using statistical, machine learning, and causal inference methods
- Define KPI frameworks and success metrics at the BU and IG levels
- Lead end-to-end analytics initiatives, including scoping, execution, and stakeholder alignment
- Influence product, technology, and analytics direction as a technical leader and domain expert
- Ideate and influence AI-powered solutions and measurement strategies for AI-native experiences
- Understand AI architectures (e.g., GenOS, LLMs) and their implications for data, modeling, and customer behavior
- Communicate insights clearly and persuasively to senior and executive leaders
- Mentor senior analysts and data scientists and help establish analytics standards adopted across Intuit Quickbooks family of products and services
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in network capacity planning, workforce planning, or operational forecasting with increasing scope and impact
- Deep expertise in data science, analytics, or applied statistics
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and Generative AI tools
- Strong experience with experimentation, causal inference, and KPI development
- Demonstrated ability to influence strategy and decisions beyond immediate team
- Excellent data storytelling, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Systems thinking mindset with strong business acumen
