Data Scientist

About Us:

• We are a young but well-established company that develops data products and technologies for online market. We are looking for a data scientist to work with us permanently. He or she will work on user models in the area of behavioural targeting.
• As our data scientist you will have the ability to extent your knowledge on large databases and learn new data solutions. You will be a part of our product development team that works in the culture of constant testing and innovations.

Key tasks:

• Designing, building, validating and implementing models
• Maintain high quality: models optimization, updating and calibrating
• Assuring efficiency, stability and scalability of the implemented solutions
• Detect data anomalies, identify source of problems and recommend solutions
• Translating business requirements to data models

Key requirements:

• Knowledge in mathematic algorithms and Bayesian statistics
• Experience in data modelling methods and their application in business
• Understanding of big data / machine learning concepts
• Knowledge of R / Python and relational and non-relational databases

Nice have:

• Experience with platforms like: Hadoop Hortonworks/ Cloudera, using toolsets of Hive, HDFS, Spark
• Knowledge of Linux system and script languages (Python, Bash, R);
• Exposure to work with behavioural data / online traffic
• Exposure to any of following topics: collaborative and content-based filtering methods, behavioural profiles / targeting, interest-based modelling
• Knowledge of online media industry would be an asset
