AI Tools & Automation Specialist

Job description
AI Tools & Automation Specialist (Full-time Remote)
The role
This is a doing role — not strategy, not change management, not training decks. You will build AI-powered tools, automations, and lightweight applications that make every team at Kelly Telecom faster, smarter, and less frustrated in their daily work. Once you've built something, you own training the team on it — getting real adoption across sales, recruiting, reporting, contracts, and operations. You'll work directly with senior leaders and the teams that code tools for the customer directly, and collaborate closely with teams across Kelly Telecom, in an environment that moves fast, values execution over perfection, and genuinely supports each other.
What you'll do
- Build AI-powered tools & apps: Design and build prompt-driven tools, document generators, data summarizers, and lightweight AI applications using Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Bolt.new, and similar — using AI-assisted coding workflows.
- Automate workflows: Identify manual, repetitive processes and build no-code/low-code automations using Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or other tools to be defined, integrated with AI APIs and connected to Microsoft 365, ATS, and CRM systems.
- Build agentic workflows: Design multi-step AI agent workflows for use cases like RFP intake, candidate summaries, candidate interviewing, contract clause flagging, and proposal drafting, as well as others.
- Train & enable the team: Once you've built and deployed a tool, own training the Kelly Telecom team on it — hands-on, practical sessions tailored to how each function actually works. Create guides, prompt libraries, and quick-start templates that drive daily adoption.
- Evaluate & curate tools: Track the AI tool landscape continuously, maintain a catalog of approved tools with use-case guidance, and surface new capabilities relevant to the business.
What you bring
Required
- 3–5+ years in an operations, technology, or business-facing role in consulting, staffing, or IT services
- 2–3+ years building real, working AI tools and automations — you must be able to show examples, proving your fluency with leading LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and strong prompt / context engineering skills
- 1–2+ years using AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent) to build functional applications
- Comfortable training non-technical colleagues — clear, practical, and patient
- Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following: ATS platforms, CRM systems, or contract management tools
Preferred
- Previous work in a telecom environment.
- Experience in a staffing, recruiting, or IT services organization
- Experience building multi-step AI agents (LangChain, AutoGen, Claude Agents, or similar)
- Basic Python or JavaScript — enough to review, debug, and modify AI-generated code
- Experience with document intelligence tools applied to contracts, SOWs, or proposals
You are
- A builder first — you build, iterate fast, get feedback, and ship
- A natural teacher — you get real satisfaction from watching a teammate use something you built and trained them on
- Action-oriented and self-directed — you manage a queue of requests across multiple functions without needing direction
- A clear communicator who can explain AI to non-technical people without condescension
- Naturally curious and self-taught — you stay current with the AI landscape on your own
- Collaborative and low-ego — you earn trust by delivering things that actually work
