WHAT IS THE POSITION?

As a Senior Enterprise Developer – Generative AI, you’ll design and build enterprise-grade software solutions that integrate generative AI capabilities into modern digital platforms. You’ll bring deep experience in enterprise application architecture and cloud development, along with the ability to incorporate AI models, agents, and reasoning systems into production software.

You’ll be a hands-on technologist with strong curiosity about the rapidly changing AI landscape, translating this knowledge into meaningful, secure, and scalable client solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ï Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to identify where generative AI can enhance or transform enterprise software systems.

ï Design and develop AI-powered features using LLMs and agent frameworks that integrate with existing business applications and data systems.

ï Architect and implement multi-agent and single-agent systems that interact with APIs, data sources, and enterprise workflows to automate tasks or generate insights.

ï Build and deploy solutions on AWS and Azure, using best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.

ï Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve LLM interactions and fine-tune outputs for specific business contexts.

ï Integrate enterprise data sources and APIs with AI components, ensuring compliance with governance and privacy requirements.

ï Lead technical discussions with clients, providing guidance on generative AI opportunities, risks, and scalability strategies.

ï Stay current with advancements in LLMs, reasoning frameworks, embeddings, and orchestration tools to continually improve solution design.

ï Work collaboratively with architects, data engineers, and AI specialists to deliver cohesive, production-ready systems.

ï Contribute to SPR’s internal knowledge sharing, helping teams advance their understanding of AI technologies and their responsible implementation.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

ï Strong background in enterprise software development and architecture, ideally 7+ years in professional software engineering roles.

ï At least 1 year of hands-on experience implementing generative AI solutions (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, or custom LLM integrations).

ï Excellent communication skills and direct client-facing experience, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical solutions.

ï Self-motivated and curious, with a demonstrated passion for exploring and applying emerging AI technologies.

ï Proven ability to lead and deliver enterprise-grade projects in dynamic, agile environments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

ï Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

ï 7+ years of professional experience

ï 1+ years of hands-on experience building or integrating generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.

ï Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar).

ï Experience with cloud-native architecture (serverless, microservices, and event-driven design).

ï Strong understanding of multi-agent architectures, prompt optimization, and AI-driven automation workflows, with proven success integrating AI systems into enterprise platforms and APIs. 

ï Must be local to Chicago, IL

SPR is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, Software Architect, the base salary pay range is $165,000 to $210,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
