Agentic AI Engineer

Job Title: Agentic AI Engineer Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite / Week)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and integrate AI-powered agents and intelligent solutions into enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, Python, and enterprise application integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Agentic AI solutions using LLMs, AI agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using enterprise data and knowledge sources.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, APIs, and business workflows.
• Develop prompt strategies, tool/function calling, memory, and multi-agent workflows.
• Build scalable AI services using Python and REST APIs.
• Work with vector databases and embedding models for semantic search and knowledge retrieval.
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, security, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, data teams, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise security, privacy, performance, and scalability requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI
• Hands-on experience with LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar
• Strong RAG architecture and implementation experience
• Experience with AI Agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise applications and REST APIs
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Azure AI Search, Weaviate, Milvus, or similar
• Knowledge of embeddings, prompt engineering, semantic search, and LLM evaluation
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
• Understanding of API security, data privacy, and enterprise application architecture

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure OpenAI
• Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio
• Azure AI Search
• Knowledge of MCP, tool calling, function calling, and agent orchestration
• Experience with SQL and enterprise databases
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps
• Experience deploying AI solutions in production environments
• Healthcare, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience is a plus

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
