New York, NY, United States (Hybrid) Contract (6 months 2 days) Published 51 minutes ago RAG Vector databases Microsoft Azure testing frameworks DevOps & CI/CD Python cross - functional collaboration problem - solving analytical skills* We are seeking an Intermediate AI Developer to build intelligent agents and AI powered components that can reason plan and act across business and technology use cases This role focuses on developing agentic AI solutions enabling memory and tool use capabilities and building modern AI applications using Python embeddings vector databases and Retrieval Augmented Generation RAG

• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in AI application development a good understanding of the Azure cloud stack and familiarity with modern agentic concepts such as MCP server integration and A2A agent to agent communication This role will work closely with prompt engineers and cross functional teams to develop scalable secure and production ready AI solutions Experience using AI coding agents such as AMP and Claude Code is a required skill for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance AI agents and intelligent components that can reason plan and act
• Develop agent capabilities such as memory tool use orchestration and workflow execution
• Implement AI applications using embeddings vector databases and RAG patterns
• Develop scalable backend services and integrations in Python
• Collaborate with prompt engineers to improve prompts agent behavior and response quality
• Support integration with cloudbased services and enterprise systems within the Azure environment
• Contribute to solutions involving MCP server connectivity and A2A agenttoagent communication
• Test monitor troubleshoot and improve AI application performance and reliability
• Follow engineering best practices for code quality security version control and CICD
• Use AI coding agents AMP Claude Code to improve development speed code quality and productivity

Required Skills Qualifications:

• Intermediate level experience in AI development LLM based solutions or agentic AI applications
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Good understanding of the Azure cloud stack

Good understanding of:

• o Embeddings
• o Vector databases
• o Retrieval Augmented Generation RAG
• Familiarity with MCP server concepts and integration
• Understanding of A2A agenttoagent communication patterns
• Experience developing or supporting AI solutions with memory and tooluse capabilities
• Ability to work with prompt engineers and other technical teams to deliver AI solutions
• Strong problem solving analytical and collaboration skills
• Must have Experience using AI coding agents such as AMP and Claude Code in day to day development workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain Semantic Kernel AutoGen or similar
• Experience integrating APIs tools and enterprise platforms into AI applications
• Exposure to model evaluation observability and monitoring for AI systems
• Understanding of testing deployment pipelines and software engineering best practices

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $28.43/hour - $44.42/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
