Data Scientist

Duties

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and AI solutions using frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark.
• Conduct statistical analysis for research purposes to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within large datasets.
• Build scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to facilitate efficient data processing from diverse sources including SQL databases, Hadoop, and cloud services like AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy AI models into production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Utilize natural language processing techniques for text analysis and generative AI applications to enhance data-driven insights.
• Perform model evaluation and validation using statistical modeling tools to optimize predictive accuracy and performance.
• Design database schemas and implement database design best practices for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Experience

• Proven experience working with big data systems such as Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based machine learning services.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), and VBA for automation and analysis tasks.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar tools for model training and deployment.
• Expertise in statistical analysis tools such as SAS or equivalent for research-focused analysis.
• Knowledge of SQL databases along with experience in SQL query optimization for analytics purposes.
• Familiarity with data mining techniques, data analytics platforms like Looker or Talend, and natural language processing methods.
• Understanding of AI implementation strategies including generative AI models and their scalability within enterprise environments.
• Background in quantum engineering or related fields is a plus but not required; a passion for emerging technologies is valued highly.
