About the Role

As the Manager Data & AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of CMV Group’s digital transformation. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the Group’s Data & AI strategy, turning information into insight, insight into action, and emerging AI capability into practical business value. Working closely with senior leaders across CMV Group, you will champion smarter decision-making, uplift analytics maturity, and guide the adoption of secure, scalable and innovative AI solutions that strengthen performance, customer experience and competitive advantage. The role is based at CMV Group’s Head Office in Wayville, with regular travel to engage with teams and leaders across key sites in South Australia and Victoria.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Creating and executing a bold Data & AI strategy that enables better decisions, faster insights and measurable business value.
  • Partnering with senior leaders to embed data-driven thinking into everyday operations, strategic planning and performance improvement.
  • Leading, coaching and growing a talented team that will help unlock the next wave of digital capability across the Group.
  • Collaborating with an experienced Technology Leadership team to deliver practical, business-led transformation.
  • Owning end-to-end delivery of high-impact Data & AI initiatives, including prioritisation, planning, budgets, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership across modern data platforms, AI, integration and cloud environments.
  • Strengthening data governance, modernising legacy capability and ensuring solutions are secure, compliant and aligned to architecture standards

About you

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded leader who can bring people on the journey and translate technology potential into meaningful business outcomes. To be successful in this critical role, you’ll bring

  • Deep experience in modern data analytics, modelling, Data & AI delivery frameworks and the ability to turn complex problems into clear, practical solutions.
  • Proven program leadership, including at least 5 years managing Data or AI-focused projects and teams, with strong portfolio and project-management discipline.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in corporate decision-making environments.
  • A highly organised, resilient and innovative mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities while keeping teams focused on outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder-engagement skills and a genuine passion for collaboration, continuous improvement and team development
