Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in program or project management.
- 7 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading a globally distributed team.
- Experience with executive stakeholder management.
- Experience with capacity planning models.
- Experience in staffing and forecasting in fractional staffing models.
- Experience building dashboards in BI tools.
- Knowledge of public cloud technologies, products, trends, and market dynamics.
About the job
As the Head of Global Capacity Management, Forward Deployed Engineering role, you will be responsible for directing a global team of Capacity Managers to optimize the staffing and utilization of Google talent across Forward Deployed Engineering engagements. This role bridges the gap between high-level business strategy and day-to-day operational execution, ensuring that AI Tech Go-to-Market has the right talent in the right place at the right time. Serving as a key partner to Global Leadership and Strategy and Operations, you will drive the framework for supply-and-demand forecasting, influence critical business decisions, and advocate both operational efficiency and consultant well-being.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $164000 - $240000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Lead a global team of Capacity Managers focused on day-to-day staffing of Google talent on Customer Engagements.
- Partner with Strategy and Operations and AI Tech Go-to-Market leadership to create best practices for staffing and utilization management.
- Partner with Global Leadership to address supply and demand issues, and influence business decisions.
- Lead weekly staffing meetings with Forward Deployed Engineering leadership teams and ensure supply and demand forecasts are accurate.
- Develop new metrics for tracking staffing efficiency. Create and maintain relationships with practice managers and consultants.
