Data Scientist 3

Job Description

Vetegrity is hiring Data Scientists to design, develop, and implement data analytics, automation, and AI/ML solutions in support of mission-driven analytic workflows. Candidates will work with diverse data sources, automate data processing and reporting, and present complex findings through visualizations and dashboards. Roles may include supporting NLP, LLM, and agentic AI initiatives, as well as optimizing data flows and ensuring data quality and compliance.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and workflow development
• Experience with data aggregation, transformation, curation, and error correction
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Shapely, GeoPandas, Kibana, Elastic, SQL, Jupyter)
• Experience with ETL workflows, batch/incremental data ingestion, and robust error handling
• Ability to automate analytic and reporting processes
• Experience with or willingness to learn AI/ML techniques for optimization, automation, and collection processing
• Experience with or exposure to NLP, LLMs, and/or agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, RAG)
• Ability to interact with APIs and build/retrieve tools for data access
• Understanding of data flows, customer data sources, and data retrieval techniques
• Experience with or willingness to learn front-end web development (e.g., HTML, Bootstrap, Pyodide)
• Familiarity with big data platforms, networked environments, and/or SIGINT or CNO mission data is a plus
• Knowledge of data compliance, policy, and quality assurance best practices

Desired Skills

• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, PySpark, or Polars
• Experience with process automation for reporting and maintaining Python automation packages
• Experience with NLP/NER annotation, model training/validation, and knowledge extraction from unstructured data
• Familiarity with customer-specific tools, data flows (e.g., XKS/DX), and mission priorities
• Experience with Splunk, SQL, Elastic, Kibana, or networking
• Prior experience supporting CNO or SIGINT missions
