We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our innovative analytics team. Duties
- Assist in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and SQL.
- Support the development of machine learning models employing frameworks like TensorFlow and R.
- Analyse large datasets through data mining techniques to identify trends and insights.
- Contribute to natural language processing projects and AI initiatives to enhance product capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain and optimise databases, ensuring efficient database design and management.
- Write scripts using Bash (Unix shell) or VBA for automation tasks.
- Support the integration of AI models into production environments using Java or Python.
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings clearly for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Python, R, SQL, and big data tools such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow and SAS.
- Knowledge of database design principles and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques is desirable.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services for deploying scalable solutions.
- Basic understanding of Java programming language.
- Knowledge of C programming language is advantageous.
- Experience with data mining, AI development, and statistical analysis methods.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: Up to £52,000.00 per year
