Job description
The purpose of the role is to deliver, support and manage technical programmes from the start of delivery through to End Point Assessment, ensuring the successful achievement of all learners. It is also to deliver apprenticeships units in line with the digital technical area.
Key tasks and accountabilities:
Plan and manage time effectively to ensure all learners receive a high quality, consistent and inspiring induction to their programme. Take the lead on developing an effective curriculum, including learner journey, Apprenticeship Standard mapping document, training & coaching sessions plans and EPA preparation.
Plan and manage time effectively to ensure learners receive the appropriate level of support via scheduled group workshop and coaching sessions, any individual one to ones planned which is conducted via appropriate software throughout their Apprenticeship.
Plan, develop and deliver scheduled webinars / podcasts / other digital resources and supporting material using appropriate software to extend and embed learning.
Plan and deliver workshop content for the Apprenticeship Standard as agreed with the Head of Delivery.
Identify additional learning support requirements that would enhance the learner’s ability to achieve their learning aims to their full potential and ensure referrals are made and necessary support is provided.
Ensure each learner has a Training plan which meets their individual requirements.
Monitor learner attendance to training sessions, remote/face to face tutorial and group sessions and remote reviews, liaising with Business Support to reschedule missed sessions if possible, and following up on poor attendance issues with learners.
Develop assessment plans for each programme in area of responsibility that meet the needs of the Apprenticeship Standard/unit and any associated qualifications.
Ensure that all elements of the Apprenticeship Standard are covered and assessed in line with the assessment plan.
Ensure that all elements of the Apprenticeship Units are covered and assessment in line with the requirements set out by Skills England.
Collate evidence of teaching, learning & assessment and upload to the e-portfolio.
Ensure learners undertake the minimum off the job training and this is recorded on the e-portfolio.
Plan and manage their time effectively to ensure all learners receive support and feedback on their progress at each progress review with their line manager, conducted remotely via appropriate software.
Check learning has taken place from training sessions and conduct formative assessment via question and answer, discussions, mock assessment, observations etc in preparation for end-point assessment.
Guide and support learners to select and collate their best work which meets the relevant assessment criteria / Apprenticeship Standard KSB for their portfolio.
Ensure that evidence collected, assessed and submitted meets the requirements of the Apprenticeship Standard with due regard to best practice improvements recommended by the IQA.
Track learner progress using e-portfolio reporting, using a RAG status rating to identify and monitor which learners are Ahead of Target, On Target, Behind Target and planning and implementing recovery actions to support learners who are at risk.
Escalate any at risk learners to the Head of Delivery, line managers and Business Development to support these learners to progress and achieve, minimising withdrawals where possible.
Liaison with Programme and EPA Manager to ensure Gateway is triggered at the appropriate time for each learner and client
Attend regular team meetings and moderation/benchmarking meetings.
Act as a champion for safeguarding in line with the safeguarding strategy for your specific Apprenticeship programme(s).
Manage own continued professional development undertaking relevant training, sharing of best practice whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times in line with The Quantet standard of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
Ensure the safety of self, other employees and learners in accordance with the Quantet safeguarding policy.
Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion are promoted and embedded within the curriculum, and if required, confidently challenge and develop learners’ tolerance to difference.
Exemplify British Values at all times and refer all Prevent related concerns to the Safe-Guarding Officer in line with your responsibilities as a teaching professional under the Prevent Duty.
Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
