FP&A Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (AI & Automation Focus)

This role supports the evolution of the finance function into a data-driven, insight-led, and increasingly automated organization. The position integrates financial planning and analysis with advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled forecasting to enhance decision-making, speed, and accuracy at Ciena. The role contributes to modernization of forecasting processes and delivery of actionable insights at scale.

How you will make an impact:

• Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and rolling forecast processes
• Analyze financial variance and generate performance insights
• Develop driver-based financial models
• Create dashboard and business intelligence reporting using Power BI or Tableau
• Automate reporting processes and workflows
• Validate data across systems including ERP, Anaplan, and Snowflake
• Enable AI-driven forecasting and analytics use cases

The must haves:

• Education: University or college degree in Finance, Business, Economics
• Experience: 2+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience
• Application of forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
• Utilization of advanced Excel and business intelligence tools
• Ability to translate data into business insights
• Application of communication and collaboration in cross-functional environments
• Application of automation, data, and emerging technologies in finance workflows

Nice to haves:

• Certifications: CPA or CMA in progress or completed
• Experience with Anaplan or planning tools
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, or data platforms
• Working knowledge of Python or automation tools
• Exposure to AI or machine learning applications in finance

Pay Range: USD 68,300.00 - 109,100.00
CAD: 61,600.00 - 98,400.00

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
