ML Engineer

We are introducing the ability for the best photographers and videographers in the world to train custom models in their own style - and need elite ML engineers to help bring the vision to life.

This role operates on the frontier of training custom photo and video models.

We are constantly figuring out how to achieve editing outcomes that have never been done before.

You must be able to understand the goal of a model, then do research and experiment at scale until you find a solution. There is no answer key to the problems we’re solving; this role requires exceptional problem-solving ability and persistence.

Examples:

• Train a photo-to-video model that replicates the style of a famous videographer, given a dataset of their videos
• Train an image editing model that replicates the style of a famous photographer but generalizes to any type of camera
• figure out how to speed up inference by 10x without compromising perceived quality

Requirements:

• You must be extremely diligent, detail-oriented, and take a scientific approach to everything you do. Quality is imperative for our users and small issues in data labeling, training sets, augmentation, hyperparameters - and a variety of other things - can ruin an entire project
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex machine learning problems in past startups, projects, or businesses with real applications
• Extreme work ethic and persistence. You know all problems are solvable, the only variable is time.

Preferred:

• Experience training image and video models.
• Experience with diffusion models.
• Experience constructing complex machine learning pipelines composed of several models.

Compensation

150K-280K + bonuses + equity
