We're looking for a passionate Junior Researcher to join our team and contribute to our mission-driven projects. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting analytical, modeling, and decision-analysis efforts across a variety of technical and mission-focused domains. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide innovative solutions that matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Mastery: Collect, cleanse, and analyze data related to various technical and operational domains, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

  • In-Depth Research: Conduct thorough research on systems, data flow, techniques, technologies, and tools that enhance our analytical capabilities.

  • Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including:

  • Informative reports

  • Engaging presentation slides

  • Detailed technical approaches and findings

  • Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Application: Leverage M&S techniques to address complex decision analysis problems, network analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and acquisition processes.

  • Analytical Support: Contribute to analysis in key areas, such as:

  • Communications engineering

  • SIGINT processing and exploitation

  • Cryptanalytic and cryptologic work within intelligence environments

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED
1+ years of experience in:
Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Critical Infrastructure Analysis, or related field
Experience with R or Python
Experience using scientific methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Experience with at least three of the following:

Discrete Event Simulation (e.g., Arena, Simio, ExtendSim)
Optimization Tools (e.g., GUROBI, CPLEX, GAMS)
Decision Analysis Tools (e.g., DPL, DPLF, Logical Decisions, Decision Lens)
Network Modeling Tools (e.g., Netviz, OPNET/RIVERBED, NetSim, PowerWorld, Thyme, SimPower)
General Analysis Tools (e.g., Visual Basic, SAS, SPSS, Netica)
Business/Data Systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL, Access, Cloud platforms)
Statistical/Math Programming (e.g., Python, R, Stata, Matlab)
Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Plotly)
Classified Intelligence Processes

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
Operations Research
Applied Mathematics
Mathematics
Data Science
Experience with:
Optimization, modeling, and simulation
Prediction, estimation, and decision analysis
Large-scale data analysis
Data gathering, cleansing, and parsing
Developing and applying M&S models
Ability to work in Windows and Linux environments
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated experience in:
Applying M&S to decision analysis and network problems
Cost/benefit analysis
Acquisition process modeling
Experience working with intelligence-related processes is a plus

Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
