Job description
Company: Buildable Ai (buildable.global) Role: Senior AI Systems Engineer Location: [Remote / Location]
The Reality Check (Read Before Applying)
This is not a role for developers who are just starting to experiment with prompting or integrating basic chatbot APIs. Do not apply unless you are a proven expert in AI systems architecture. We are looking for elite engineering talent—someone who natively uses AI tools to multiply their coding output and understands the deep mechanics of how disparate models communicate. If you do not have a track record of building, orchestrating, and refining complex, multi-agent AI systems, this role is not for you.
About the Role
Buildable Ai is building technology that pushes the absolute limits of software generation. We need an architectural powerhouse who can take our existing systems and ruthlessly refine them. Your primary mandate will be to ensure our various AI models, databases, and APIs communicate flawlessly, securely, and with zero latency. You won't just be integrating technology; you will be analyzing outputs, finding the breaking points, and engineering sophisticated workarounds to improve the intelligence and reliability of the entire ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
- Complex System Orchestration: Architect, build, and maintain the infrastructure that forces multiple complex AI models to talk to each other seamlessly across the buildable.global ecosystem.
- Relentless Refinement: Systematically analyze AI reasoning pipelines, identify bottlenecks in data retrieval, and optimize prompt architecture to dramatically improve output quality.
- Vibe Coding & Extreme Velocity: Lead the engineering team by example, utilizing advanced AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, custom scripts) to prototype and deploy production-ready code at an exponential rate.
- Technology Leadership: Act as the ultimate technical backstop for AI integration, mentoring junior engineers and defining the architectural roadmap for future LLM deployments.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Deep AI Systems Expertise: Extensive, demonstrable experience building, deploying, and maintaining multi-layered AI integrations in high-stakes production environments.
- Architectural Mastery: Fluent in modern backend ecosystems (Python, Node.js) with a profound understanding of API architecture, microservices, and secure data handling.
- Advanced RAG & Vector Knowledge: Proven experience designing and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation workflows and managing large-scale vector databases.
- AI-Native Workflow: You must be able to demonstrate how you currently use AI to code faster and better than a traditional developer.
Pay: $96,606.91 - $116,343.80 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lake Forest, CA 92630
