Job Objective:

Navitas is establishing a technical role to drive how AI and low-code platforms amplify the impact of our engineers, project teams, and back-office staff. The AI & Business Analyst is an experienced practitioner who independently scopes, delivers, and measures AI and automation initiatives across the company. This position leads pilots from ideation through adoption with emphasis on real business value, responsible use, and durable workflow improvements, while also serving as a co-administrator and technical lead for our company-wide Power Platform applications supporting Business Operations.

The role sits within the Data Analytics Team and partners directly with department leaders, internal users, IT stakeholders, and a third-party development partner. The objective is not only to deploy tools, but to set the technical and operational standards that shape how Navitas adopts AI and low-code platforms over the next several years — including establishing engineering best practices, mentoring internal users and developers, and defining a durable roadmap for AI-enabled business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Exploration & Enablement

  • Define and lead the AI pilot roadmap; partner with department leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value use cases across Administration, Engineering, IT, Energy Management, and other business functions.
  • Own the internal AI playbook and Navitas' AI usage guidelines; establish standards for approved tools, prompt patterns, guardrails, data handling, and proven workflows; document pilots, retrospectives, and recommendations for broader rollout.
  • Lead training, demonstrations, and recurring office hours across the company; serve as the technical reference for power users and as a constructive voice with skeptical or experienced staff who require deeper justification before adoption.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools, vendors, and platforms; recommend build-vs-buy decisions and present outcomes, ROI, and risks to leadership.
  • Establish and maintain standards for automation and Power Platform solutions covering code quality, testing, documentation, release coordination, and post-deployment monitoring to ensure long-term maintainability and reliable handoffs.

Productivity Automation & Internal Tools

  • Architect and deliver production-grade automations across Python (Docker), AWS Lambda, Microsoft 365, and supporting scripts in PowerShell, JavaScript, or SQL; own code quality, monitoring, documentation, and handoff standards.
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities across departments; lead discovery, scoping, and delivery end-to-end with limited oversight.
  • Provide technical guidance on selected IT and M365 administrative tasks; partner with IT on security, identity, and integration considerations.

Power Platform Support & Administration

  • Co-administer the Business Development, Construction, and Engineering Operations Power Apps alongside the Data Analytics Engineer; lead enhancement design discussions and backlog prioritization with the third-party development partner.
  • Own permissions, roles, data quality, and day-to-day administration across Dataverse and related environments; lead testing cycles, release coordination, and post-release validation.
  • Lead Salesforce-to-Power-App data migration validation, reconciliation, and cutover support.
  • Build and maintain Power App dashboards for pipeline, operations, and leadership reporting; produce user guides, release notes, and training materials at a quality level appropriate for company-wide distribution.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Skills and Experience:

Required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business applications, automation, data engineering, AI/ML enablement, or a closely related field.
  • Production experience in at least two of: Python, AWS Lambda or comparable serverless platforms, REST API integrations, SQL.
  • Track record of leading at least one AI or automation initiative from ideation through user adoption with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 fluency (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to document standards, present to leadership, and constructively push back on scope or requirements.
  • Working knowledge of modern AI tools and patterns (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, SDKs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt design).

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions end-to-end (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), not solely supporting them.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification.
  • Experience with Dataverse data modeling, security roles, and environment strategy at company-wide scale.
  • Familiarity with engineering, construction, energy services, or operations workflows.
  • Experience partnering with third-party development vendors on backlog, releases, and quality.
  • Awareness of security, identity, and data handling considerations relevant to AI and business applications (Microsoft Entra, conditional access, data loss prevention).
  • Personal projects, GitHub activity, technical writing, or other evidence of self-directed depth.
