Duties
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models
- Lead model training and evaluation processes, ensuring accuracy and robustness through techniques like unsupervised learning and data mining.
- Build scalable data pipelines using ETL tools like Talend and Hadoop to facilitate efficient data ingestion from diverse sources including linked data and big data environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production systems via model deployment strategies on cloud platforms like AWS.
- Conduct research on emerging AI trends such as quantum engineering and natural language processing to enhance existing solutions or develop new capabilities.
- Design and optimize database schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of large datasets, leveraging SQL, NoSQL, and database design best practices.
- Develop analytical dashboards using tools like Looker to visualize insights derived from complex datasets for stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of algorithms, codebases, and model performance metrics to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, C, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), with experience in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts including natural language processing, model training, model deployment, and machine learning techniques like unsupervised learning.
- Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and ETL platforms like Talend for data integration and processing.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services especially AWS for deploying scalable AI solutions.
- Expertise in database design principles along with SQL proficiency for managing structured data.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Looker for creating insightful visualizations; experience with SAS is a plus.
- Background in data mining, linked data integration, and working with large datasets in distributed environments.
- Understanding of quantum engineering principles as they relate to emerging AI research areas is an advantage.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
