Job description
As a Software Engineer reporting to VP - Product Management , you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering sophisticated software solutions that power Nasdaq's AxiomSL AI product. You'll work across the full development lifecycle - from architecture to implementation - bringing your expertise to a fast-growing, innovation-driven team.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions across new and existing applications and systems architecture.
- Lead technical analysis of complex assignments - coding, testing, debugging, and delivering robust outcomes.
- Drive security-conscious development practices and ensure cross-platform compatibility across products.
- Build reliable integrations between AI services, structured data sources, and enterprise platform components.
- Mentor team members, championing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong software development experience, including Python, for building scalable backend services, integrations, and data-driven applications, with strong SQL skills for working with structured enterprise data.
- Experience building and integrating APIs, services, or platform components within enterprise application environments, including data pipelines, transformation, and validation.
- Experience working on AI/ML-enabled products or platform capabilities, including integrating or delivering AI-driven solutions in production or near-production environments.
- Clear communicator with proven ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and client-facing teams in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a specialised area such as financial markets, mathematics, or computer science.
- Experience in fintech, capital markets, or regulated technology environments.
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and their application within enterprise software platforms.
This position is located in London and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment, with at least 3 days per week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
