Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

• Implementation of AI-driven solutions within a mechanical product development environment
• Development of small-scale tools and scripts to support engineering workflows and team operations
• Translation of functional specifications from mechanical engineers into working software prototypes
• Close technical collaboration with the development team to integrate digital tools into daily processes
• Integration of AI models and interfaces into local engineering environments
• Technical adaptation and optimization of tools based on direct team feedbac

What you need is:

• Ongoing technical studies (Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics or similar)
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language suitable for tool development and automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
• Basic understanding of AI/LLM concepts and their practical application in technical contexts
• Interest in mechanical product development and ability to work effectively within an engineering team
• Ability to execute defined technical tasks with high autonomy and precision
• Pragmatic problem-solving mindset focusing on functional and robust results
• High level of commitment and responsibility
• Excellent team and communication skills
• Very good German or English skills

Our offer for you:

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 2.698,59

The actual salary will be determined based on your agreed working hours.
