If you have a passion for Artificial Intelligence and want to make a difference in the lives of Idahoans, Idaho Housing and Finance Association has an opportunity in our Information Technology department for an AI Solutions Engineer. Our team needs a professional who demonstrates initiative, technical expertise, and collaboration to design, build, and deliver production-grade artificial intelligence systems that automate and augment internal business processes. The successful candidate will agentic code daily using modern agentic coding environments, such as Claude Code, to accelerate delivery. This position will follow industry best practices and IHFA guidelines, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business innovation and excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing complex AI systems, from proof of concept to production deployment and maintenance
- Building and deploying AI systems using on-premises and cloud-based technologies, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini
- Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and/or Codex as part of the day-to-day development workflow to design, refactor, and ship code at high velocity
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business processes for AI automation and translating business needs into technical specifications
- Implementing safety, privacy, and security controls across AI systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Leading technical delivery of AI projects, including sprint planning, estimation, and code review
- Other job duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience building production AI systems
- Experience building both on-premises AI systems and cloud-based AI systems
- Deep understanding of Claude Code with agents, skills, and memory usage
- Proficiency in Python, .NET (C#), SQL, and AI oriented databases
- Experience with using Docker and large language models
- Strong understanding of AI governance, security, and compliance practices
- Excellent communication and project management skills
