AI Model Adoption Index
OpenAI / GPT appears in 15.1% of active AI job postings — the demand-side share of the model wars; Claude stands at 13.6%, ~90% of OpenAI's footprint (ML/AI Work Model Adoption Index, live across 34,150 postings, as of 2026-06-11).
Share of AI postings naming the model/vendorlive · 34,150 postings
38% of AI postings name at least one model vendor (counting overlaps once per vendor). Surveys measure what developers say they use; this measures what employers pay for — stated vs revealed preference.
Methodology
Computed live from the ML/AI Work corpus: the share of active, AI-tier postings whose description names each model/vendor (dictionary-matched on word boundaries — “Claude”, “GPT-4”, “Gemini”, “Llama”, “Mistral” and variants). A posting naming two vendors counts for both. This is the demand side of model adoption — job requirements, not developer surveys or API traffic. Corpus definitions: methodology.
